FDM conducted evaluation of District Performance of BDSPO and DMEGA which was jointly initiated by the Government of Nepal and UNDP. The objective of the assignment was to evaluate performance of the two bodies – District Micro-entrepreneurs Groups’ Association (DMEGA) and BDSPOs on the basis of results indicators and result based verification of the projects being implemented in 10 districts. District Micro-entrepreneurs Groups’ Association (DMEGA) and BDSPOs were a part of the MEDEP project initiated by UNDP which helped more than 70,000 people (poor, youth, women and individuals from socially excluded groups) to start their business and to create employment. FDM also provided recommendations on areas of improvement and conclusion on which BDSPOs would be fully or partially reimbursed based on their performance.
Study area: Saptari, Siraha, Udaypur, Terathum, Sunsari, Parbat, Myagdi, Baglung, Nawalparasi and Kapilbastu.
