Scoping the GSMA Innovation Fund’s Investment Inclusivity

FDM is currently providing data collection services to Tripleline International for the project titled “Scoping the GSMA Innovation Fund’s Investment Inclusivity.” This project is funded by the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office. The objective of the objective is to understand how the GSMA’s support for startups, particularly through digital solutions, contributes to employment generation, poverty reduction, and improved income and livelihoods.

The scoping study aims to examine how GSMA’s grant-making activities have helped reduce poverty, enhance livelihoods, and create decent jobs for vulnerable populations targeted by these digital solutions. In addition to utilizing the Poverty Probability Index (PPI), the evaluation will consider the role of end-user mobile internet adoption and how this digitalization translates into positive livelihood outcomes.

Quantitative sample: 1000 Esewa agents and users, 1000 GeoKrishi agents and users

Qualitative sample: 6 FGDs with GeoKrishi and Esewa Users
