Reporting of baseline study of Strengthening Urban Resilience and Engagement (SURE) Project

Foundation for Development Management (FDM) partnered with British Red Cross in the implementation and data analysis/ reporting of baseline study of Strengthening Urban Resilience and Engagement (SURE) project of eight different urban municipalities of Nepal. While British Red Cross did data collection, FDM was involved in analysis of the data and report writing. The study was preceded by the Urban Assessment (Vulnerability and Capacity Assessment) of the same eight municipalities. The baseline study identified some of the key vulnerabilities, awareness and response capacities of key vulnerable groups to particular disasters, status of disaster resilience among vulnerable groups at both household as well as community level and the community’s relationship, and engagement with the Red Cross.
