REALiZE was implemented in two districts, Surkhet and Salyan. The project’s main objective was to empower impoverished communities residing in the buffer zones of Bardia and Banke National Parks. By providing access to sustainable renewable energy sources, the project aims to facilitate income generation while concurrently fostering the conservation of the delicate forest landscapes these communities inhabit. Moreover, REALiZE endeavors to amplify the voices of these communities in buffer zone decision-making processes, thereby ensuring the active participation of the local people and the relevant stakeholders.
